EOP Media is committed to the community and provides programming through a nonprofit fund named Expressions of Purpose.
Donations to the fund are managed by the Austin Community Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by local law. If you would like to make a donation to the fund, please select this link.
Expressions of Purpose, in collaboration with the community, engages in activities designed to help young people create the culture that will define their generation.
The Mission of Expressions of Purpose is to Provide youth with training, tools and a platform from which to express their ideas, promote change and evaluate their contributions to the community.
In achieving this mission, Expressions of Purpose is bound by the following beliefs
Beliefs
- We believe youth must be empowered to recognize and accept their role as co-creators of culture and they must accept responsibility for the results or consequences of their contributions.
- We believe engagement in interdisciplinary arts expressions help develop skills that lead to innovative thought and action.
- We believe media mastery is a fundamental skill for 21st Century youth and provides them with tools that enable communication of their expressions and give them the ability to stimulate change.
- We believe the exercise of innovative thought benefits all intellectual and psychological areas and leads to increases in academic achievement, as well as, civic and personal responsibility.
