Angelia McFarland is a marketing and communications trendsetter with over 18 years of experience developing innovative responses to business issues. Recognized for her ability to create a culture of customer focused thinking at technology centric organizations, Angelia is skilled at defining market strategies, identifying client needs, communicating technical benefits and persuading the customer to act.
A clear understanding of client needs forms the foundation of her approach to marketing and communications. Angelia has developed methodologies that help teams identify important client segments and gain an understanding of client requirements. Realizing that the real knowledge for any product or service is within the people who develop that product or service, Angelia operates as facilitator helping to organize, assemble and most importantly, communicate knowledge that already exists. Her value is in her ability to recognize institutional knowledge and integrate it with her broad experience in all areas of marketing and communications.
As president and principal consultant of EOP Media, Angelia is responsible for helping organizations achieve their goals through innovative business strategies, interactive marketing implementations and client focused communication. Prior to starting EOP Media, Angelia spent 14 years in various marketing and communication roles at IBM where she was recognized for her ability to translate highly technical features into messages relevant to the target audience. She is also experienced in building integrated communications plans that leverage client centered messaging. These integrated messaging and marketing strategies have resulted in successful implementations as evidenced by product revenue and increases in positive press and analyst reports.
Angelia is an exceptional presenter, and adds to the value of her efforts by ensuring business professionals are trained to communicate messages effectively. She is adept at implementing marketing and communications plans, including advertising, web, direct mail, newsletters, brochures, press releases and analyst presentations. Also notable is Angelia’s ability to develop new ideas and establish executive and peer support.
In addition to her business activities, Angelia has volunteered her talents to support the Austin Independent School District, United Way Capital Area Young Leaders Society and the Austin Black Diversity Network Group. Angelia received her Master of Public Affairs degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the State University of New York at Albany, Regents College.
